For web and dev agencies
Keep website and development projects moving with one portal per client
Web projects stall for the same reasons again and again: content that has not arrived, access that nobody has sent, and sign-off that is vague. Clientwharf gives every client a private portal where your agency asks for what it needs, shares progress, records approvals on each milestone, and hands over the launch documentation.

The handover problem
Why web projects slip
The build is usually not the bottleneck. Dependencies on the client side are.
Content and credentials arrive late
Page copy, images, domain access and third-party logins come in over weeks, through different people and channels, and some never arrive at all.
Milestones without a clear yes
Wireframes, designs and staging builds get a thumbs-up in a meeting, then reopen weeks later because nobody wrote the decision down.
Updates scattered across tools
Progress notes live in an internal tracker that clients cannot see, so account managers rewrite them into emails every week.
Handover documents that go missing
Launch checklists, guides and final assets are sent once by email and are hard to find when the client's team changes.
How Clientwharf helps
A shared place for the client side of the project
Your team keeps its own development tools. Clientwharf covers what the client needs to see, send and approve.
Requests for content and access
List every item you need from the client with a due date. Clients reply, attach files and mark items done. Overdue requests trigger a reminder email.
About requestsClient request forms
On Agency and above, add form fields to a request, such as text, long text or a URL, so you get structured answers instead of a loose email.
Request formsMilestone approvals
Request approval on a wireframe, design file or launch checklist. The decision, the comment and the version are stored as a permanent record.
About approvalsA progress timeline clients can read
Post an update when a milestone ships or a staging link is ready. Clients get an email and see the full timeline in their portal.
About the updates timelineTeam roles and permissions
Invite developers, designers and project managers. On Agency and above, only owners and admins can manage clients and client contacts.
Team and permissionsQuotes and invoice documents
Create quotes for new phases as branded PDFs and share them in the portal. Clientwharf doesn't process payments; you set the status yourself.

In practice
A website build, step by step
Most agency projects follow a similar path. Here is where Clientwharf fits in.
Kickoff and content collection
Create the project and add requests for sitemap input, copy, images and access to the domain and hosting. Use a request form for structured details.
Design sign-off
Upload wireframes and designs, then request approval. Revised files become new versions with the earlier feedback still attached.
Build and staging
Post updates with staging notes as each section is ready. Clients comment on the update instead of starting a new email thread.
Launch and handover
Request final approval on the launch checklist, then upload guides and final assets. The client keeps one place to find them.

Common questions
Does Clientwharf replace our project management tool?
No. Clientwharf is the client-facing side of a project: files, updates, approvals and requests. Your team can keep using its own tools for internal tasks and code.
Is it safe to collect access details through a request?
Requests are only visible to your team and the invited contacts of that client. For passwords, we still recommend a dedicated password manager share and using the request to confirm it was sent.
Can portals use our agency's domain?
Studio and above include a custom portal subdomain. Agency Plus and Scale also support a custom domain for portals.
