The free trial
Every new workspace starts with a 14-day free trial. You do not need a card to start, and you are never charged automatically when the trial ends.
During the trial you can use the core features plus branding and quote and invoice documents, with trial limits on seats, clients and storage. The billing page shows how many days are left.
When the trial ends without a plan, your workspace becomes read-only:
- You, your team and your clients can still sign in, view everything and download files.
- New uploads, updates and other changes are paused.
- Nothing is deleted. Your data is kept for at least 30 days.
Choose a plan at any time to unlock the workspace again.
The billing page
Open Billing at /app/billing to see:
- Your current plan, or how many trial days are left.
- Usage against your plan's limits: team seats, active clients and storage.
- Your next renewal date once you subscribe.
Every team member can see the billing page, but only the workspace owner and admins can choose, change or manage a plan. If you do not see these options, ask an owner or admin.
Choosing and paying for a plan
- On the billing page, pick Monthly or Yearly and select Choose on the plan you want, for example Choose Studio. Yearly billing costs ten times the monthly price, so you get two months free.
- A secure checkout from Paddle opens on top of the page. Enter your payment details there.
- When the payment succeeds, Clientwharf shows "Activating your plan" while it waits for Paddle's confirmation, which usually takes a few moments. Your workspace is then upgraded.
Paddle is our reseller and the merchant of record. Paddle processes the payment, calculates any sales tax or VAT for your location, and sends your receipts and invoices. Clientwharf never sees or stores your card details. Prices are in USD, and applicable taxes are calculated at checkout by Paddle. Current prices are on the pricing page.
Renewals
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period, at the price of your plan, until you cancel. The renewal date is shown on the billing page. Paddle emails you a receipt for each payment.
Invoices, receipts and payment method
Select Manage subscription on the billing page to open Paddle's customer portal. There you can:
- View and download invoices and receipts.
- Update your payment method.
- Cancel your subscription.
Changing plans
Owners and admins can move to a different plan from the billing page with Switch to on the plan they want. Paddle prorates the change. If you move to a smaller plan and your usage is above its limits, nothing is deleted: existing items stay available, and adding new ones is paused until you are back within the limits.
Plan limits
Clientwharf shows a warning when you reach 80% of a limit, such as storage or active clients. At 100%, adding more is blocked until you free up room or move to a larger plan. Clientwharf never deletes your data because of a limit.
If a payment fails
If a renewal payment fails, Paddle retries it and you keep access in the meantime. Update your payment method through Manage subscription to avoid interruption. If the subscription ends because payment could not be collected, the workspace becomes read-only and your data is kept.
Refunds and cancellation
New subscriptions come with a 30-day money-back guarantee: if you ask within 30 days of your first payment on any plan, you get a full refund, no questions asked. A renewal charge can be refunded if you ask within 14 days of the renewal and haven't used the service since it renewed. Request a refund at paddle.net using the email on your order, or email support@clientwharf.com and we will process it through Paddle. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Paddle's order lookup and refund site is https://paddle.net. See refunds and our refund policy.
To stop your subscription, see canceling your subscription.
